Sunrise Management & Consulting and its affiliated companies, The Inn at Century House and The Clocktower Hotel, are proud to celebrate a major milestone through the Enjoy One Share One initiative. As of May 2025, Sunrise has helped provide more than 50,000 meals to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York.

Enjoy One Share One was launched by Colin DeMers at The Century House in June 2009 and has already contributed more than one million meals to the Regional Food Bank. The initiative was created to make community giving part of everyday hospitality. Each time a guest dines at the restaurant or spends a night at The Inn at Century House, a meal is donated to help support families across the Food Bank’s 23-county service area.

Following Sunrise’s acquisition of The Century House, the company committed to carrying that legacy forward and expanding the program across its affiliated businesses. Enjoy One Share One now also includes stays at The Clocktower Hotel at Century House, as well as participation through Sunrise’s apartment communities when residents rent an apartment for the month. The Regional Food Bank receives a contribution each month through this sustained giving model.

“With the ongoing support of our employees and partners,” Sunrise President Jesse Holland announced, “our goal is to provide an additional one million meals by December 2034.”

Employees gathered at Together We Thrive to celebrate Enjoy One Share One.

In November 2024, Sunrise hosted an employee engagement event called Together We Thrive, bringing team members together around a shared purpose. During the event, Holland honored DeMers with an Inspiration Award in recognition of his leadership and commitment to community service through Enjoy One Share One. Chief Strategy Officer Heather Schechter also spoke with employees about the importance of unity within Sunrise’s growing organization and how shared goals strengthen teams across business lines.

DeMers emphasized the program’s legacy and impact, reminding Sunrise employees, “Even on difficult days, take a moment to reflect on the difference you’re making. Your work contributes to someone receiving a meal who might not have had access otherwise.”

Representatives from the Regional Food Bank joined Sunrise for the event and spoke about the value of partnerships in addressing food insecurity. Joanne Dwyer, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, expressed appreciation for Sunrise’s continued commitment and noted that every meal donated helps provide meaningful support to neighbors throughout northeastern New York.

Reaching 50,000 meals donated is an exciting milestone and part of a larger goal. Sunrise and its affiliated companies remain committed to building on the foundation Colin DeMers created through continued partnership with the Regional Food Bank.
