Sunrise Management & Consulting Celebrates Grand Opening of
The Clocktower Hotel at Century House, Ascend Hotel Collection
With Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on January 15, 2025, at 2:00 pm
Latham, NY (Jan. 9, 2025) – Sunrise Management & Consulting will celebrate the grand opening of The Clocktower Hotel at Century House with a ribbon-cutting event on January 15, 2025, at 2:00 pm at 981 New Loudon Road, Latham, NY.
The grand opening event will celebrate the hotel’s transformation from what was once Comfort Inn Latham to The Clocktower Hotel at Century House and its rebranding from Choice Hotel’s Comfort Inn brand to the more upscale Ascend Hotel Collection. Sunrise Management & Consulting acquired the hotel in 2023. A 5 million dollar investment was made in renovations and improvements, which were finished in December 2024.
The Clocktower Hotel at Century House brings a fresh blend of Federal style and modern design to the Capital Region. With 125 fully remodeled rooms, the hotel offers guests a sophisticated and comfortable stay while celebrating the area’s rich history and vibrant community. All rooms, spaces, and amenities have been upgraded with luxurious finishes and improved functionality to support a boutique hotel experience at The Clocktower Hotel at Century. Amenities include an indoor pool, fitness center, and a chef-prepared full hot and cold breakfast, all included in each guest’s stay.

Comfort Inn Latham is the second hotel that the investment arm of Sunrise Management & Consulting purchased and the first one that it has been involved in renovating and rebranding. In 2022, the company’s investment arm purchased the 14 acres of land that comprise The Century House’s campus and took over operating The Inn at Century House. That hotel’s then General Manager, Monica LaBree, was promoted to Vice President of Hospitality and now oversees both The Inn at Century House and The Clocktower Hotel at Century House.

The Clocktower Hotel at Century House will continue the proprietary sustained giving program developed by the sister property, The Century House Hotel, Events, and Restaurant. Since the program began in 2009, the Enjoy One Share One program has honored guests by gifting a meal to the Regional Food Bank for every meal and overnight stay. Explained LaBree, “The Clocktower Hotel is committed to making a difference beyond its doors. Enjoy One Share One will help us further our mission to give back to the community, and it underscores the hotel’s dedication to combining hospitality with heart.”
Each floor of The Clocktower Hotel pays tribute to the Capital Region’s cultural heritage through captivating photography and artwork. This thoughtful design feature creates a uniquely local experience that connects guests to the heart of the area. The full-service hotel is decorated with a unique theme, “A Moment in Time,” which weaves the tapestry of history throughout four distinct floors, offering guests an immersive experience.

BBL Construction Services completed the renovations at The Clocktower Hotel at Century House. The interior design of The Clocktower Hotel at Century House was done by MBR Group in Rochester, NY. The Clocktower Hotel at Century House’s logo and signage were created by Ayzo Ridge Design + Consulting.
The Clocktower Hotel at Century House is located at 981 New Loudon Road, Latham, NY, and its sister hotel, The Inn at Century House, is located at 997 New Loudon Road, Latham, NY. Sunrise Management & Consulting’s hospitality division manages both hotels, headquartered at One Solar Way, Latham, NY.
