Residents Move into Buildings One & Three
Colonie, NY – May 21, 2014: Marini Homes and Paulsen Development have completed the final phase of their Colonie luxury apartment community, Cornerstone. New residents moved in to their new homes on 5 Jodiro Lane May 1st. The two new buildings are part of an eight building project which includes 60 one and two bedroom units starting at $1,320 per month.
Marini and Paulsen intended to design a community that featured beautiful amenities in a convenient location while maintaining a neighborhood feel. The Cornerstone Luxury Apartments offer the finest finishes – stainless steel appliances and ceramic tile bathrooms – as well as a 24-hour fitness center and well-appointed clubhouse. The community is less than a mile from popular destinations on Wolf Road, yet nestled in a quiet setting off of Sand Creek Road.
The Capital Region has responded with tremendous excitement: “There has been an incredible amount of interest in Cornerstone through all phases of the project,” says Keith Flores, Chief Operating Office of Sunrise Management & Consulting, the firm managing the property’s launch. “We have consistently maintained a waiting list and, given the property’s unique position, are not expecting this kind of response to subside.”
Contrary to industry trends, Marini and Paulsen decided to build spacious, well-appointed homes from one thousand thirty eight to nearly sixteen hundred square feet, meeting an unanswered demand for the commodious rental. Nine foot ceilings crown an open and spacious great room with a well-equipped modern kitchen. The trend continues with an expansive den, bathrooms and bedrooms as well as ample storage space and a master walk-in closet. Each apartment is outfitted with a private entry porch or deck providing an additional space for entertaining or relaxing and creating the feel of a single family home.
According to Flores, the community’s success can also be attributed to the rise in demand for high-end apartments: “Where historically the number of apartments built in the Capital District had been well below the number of single family homes, the percentage of multi-family units rose to almost 50% in 2012. Just about all of these new apartments are luxury.”
The rising interest in apartment living has been driven by a number of factors including retired baby boomers seeking a carefree lifestyle and young professionals wishing to be close to services, restaurants and bars. Both sets and in between are represented at Cornerstone Luxury Apartments creating a vibrant community.
“Our residents are renters by choice,” added Robert Marini. “So, we wanted to create an amiable milieu.”
